Aquamatic Portable Rental Sampler Fleet available for instant despatch

Aquamatic Samplers have seen bumper figures in two important areas of the business over the last year. An exceptional year in Sampler rental has gone hand-in-hand with a substantial increase in the number of Sampler maintenance contracts being established.

2014 Sampler Rental Success

Rentals of Aquamatic Samplers increased dramatically during 2014, with more Sampler rentals than the previous three years combined and the first quarter of 2015 showing similar levels of demand for temporary or short term automatic sampling.  Aquamatic’s range of portable Aquacell MCERTs Samplers have found favour for their versatility, portability and ease of operation.

Some examples of short-term Sampler requirements include the design, installation and proving out stages of a new a new treatment plant. As part of process design a Sampler will help assess the effluent being processed and therefore assist with the selection of the plant equipment. During the installation stage the Sampler can help provide data which indicates the effectiveness of key part within the new plant. At the end of the project, during final testing, samples can be collected to prove that the new installation is operating to specification. Additional to this Samplers are often used to temporarily monitor specific points within a wastewater network where a permanent sampler installation is unnecessary.

By using an MCERTs Sampler for these applications, accurate measurements can be tagged to specific times and dates, and compliance to consent limits can be proved. Operators are seeing the benefit of renting portable Aquacell Samplers because they can be confident in the knowledge that they are using a well maintained MCERTs approved unit, at the same time as minimising costs. Aquamatic have established a fleet of Portable rental Samplers, available off-the-shelf and rapidly deployable to site to meet the demand. On request Sampling equipment can be pre-configured to the specific requirements of the particular customer application. Additionally, Aquamatic can drop off and collect the equipment from site and, if required, provide commissioning and user training. Formal training of operators, once again demonstrates to Environment Agency OMA auditors that the Sampling equipment is being used correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Maintenance Contracts support OMA Scheme

2014 saw a significant increase in companies taking out Annual Maintenance Contracts from Aquamatic. A Maintenance Contract helps Companies being assessed under the Environment Agency’s OMA scheme, who can only be awarded maximum score when their MCERTS certified equipment is also being maintained in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations. In addition, with AMP6’s focus on total lifetime cost (TOTEX) and compliance, it has become more important than ever to make sure that equipment is properly maintained and able to perform its function effectively and reliably.

A Maintenance Contract typically consists of two checks per year where an Aquamatic Certified Engineer (ACE) will verify the Sampler installation, performance check the sampler operation, replace consumables and mark the equipment with visual confirmation of the visit.
