Aquamatic beats CEMARS GHG emission targets by nearly 25%!
Following initial CEMARS certification in 2012, Aquamatic has now completed the first full year assessment for the measurement, management and reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Despite setting ambitious targets of a 5% reduction in overall GHG emissions intensity, we have actually achieved 6.23%, exceeding the target figure by nearly 25%

This achievement not only means that Aquamatic is benefitting the environment, but also that we are able to help our customers to reduce their own Carbon emissions within their supply chain. Because the measurements are made in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2006 and accredited by CEMARS, our customers are able to incorporate them into their own Carbon reduction records and protocols. We have held ISO14001 for some time, and CEMARS provides us with a further opportunity to measure and reduce our emissions.
Key to our success in the programme has been the move to a brand new, more energy-efficient factory in Irlam, Manchester, and investment in lower emission vehicles. As Dominic McGivern, our Sales Manager, put it, “Environmental best practice is fundamental to everything we do – our company philosophy has always been to do everything we can to minimise our impact on the environment.”
