Why Aquamatic?
Since being established in 1991 Aquamatic has focused solely on the design and manufacture of high quality, robust and reliable Wastewater Sampling Equipment. Still based in Manchester, England, Aquamatic now produces the highly respected Aquacell product range which is used throughout the UK and in many countries around the world. The Aquacell range of Wastewater Samplers is used by all of the major UK Water Companies and in a wide variety of industry sectors ranging from Nuclear Power to Confectionary. Aquamatic is constantly striving to provide excellence in both its products and support.
Why Aquacell?
Every model in the Aquamatic Wastewater Sampler range embodies the well proven, highly respected Aquacell Module. This module benefits from many years of experience and refinement. Customers new to wastewater sampling find programming of the Aquacell extremely straightforward and intuitive. If you have ever used an Aquacell, of any format, in the past then programming of your new Aquacell will be exactly the same!
What is MCERTS and which Aquacell models are Certified?
MCERTS is the Environment Agencies performance standard for montitoring equipment. EVERY Aquacell Sampler model currently offered by Aquamatic is MCERTS certified. Click here to learn more about MCERTS
Why use an air pump vacuum system based Wastewater Sampler?
Aquamatic believes there is no other way to obtain truly representative samples of wastewater. The air pump vacuum system incorporated into every Aquacell is completely isolated from the wastewater itself. As such the sampled liquid is transported from the source to the Sample Collection Vessel via an open bore tube system and does not get compressed or altered as it would for instance when being processed through a peristaltic pump head.
How does the Aquacell avoid blockages in the intake line?
Starting with the 5 x 12mm diameter port stainless steel Intake Filter the internal diameters of the intake path increase as the wastewater progresses through the system. As such, whatever gets sucked in though the Intake Filter will almost certainly pass cleanly through the system and deposit into the Sample Collection Vessel at the end!
Can the Aquacell work with a flow meter or level sensor etc.?
Yes, via the Ancillary Signal Connection, all Aquacell Samplers can operate in conjunction with Flow Meters, Level Sensors or any other device providing a contact closure or 4-20mA signal.
How high can the Aquacell lift my effluent?
MCERTS requires a minimum lift height of 7 metres, maintaining an average of 0.5m/s lift velocity. Being MCERTS compliant each Aquacell will achieve this. In many cases customers have installed much higher lifts up to 8+ metres, but at these heights lift velocity will reduce.
I am sampling for ‘trace elements’, can an ‘inert’ sample tract be provided?
For these applications we can supply a Glass Sample Chamber and Teflon Intake Hose.
Can the Aquacell be controlled remotely via a PLC or similar?
Yes, all Aquacell Samplers can be controlled and interrogated via the Ancillary Signal Connection and / or the RS232 Interface options.
Does Aquamatic offer training and / or on going maintenance?
Yes, either direct from our factory in the UK or via our worldwide network of Distributors, our customers Aquacell Samplers can be Commissioned, Maintained and Serviced by an Aquamatic trained engineer. See Services for more details.
What do I need to do to my Aquacell for continuous operation?
When installed correctly there is very little that the user needs to do to ensure uninterrupted operation of their Aquacell. Aquamatic can provide periodic preventative maintenance, typically every 6 months by our trained Service Engineers. During this procedure consumables will be assessed (and replaced if necessary) and key performance indicators, such as pressure and vacuum, will be checked to confirm that your Aquacell is running perfectly. See Services for more details.
Can I rent an Aquacell?
Yes, see our current price list for details. Please use the Contact form if you require a Price list.
Can I mount additional equipment with my Aquacell?
Yes, with our S300 Series provision has been made for additional equipment in the form of a mounting plate or an IP65 enclosure equipment. Each of these have both power and signal (if Ancillary Signal Connection is specified) connections provided.
I do not need to analyse each sample taken, can the Aquacell automatically disposal of unwanted samples?
Aquamatic has just the solution. Within the range of Bottlers is the 2 x 4.5 litre Self-Emptying Bottler. This Bottler will collect samples and automatically dispose of them after a set period of time. Often this Bottler is set up to fill alternative bottles on alternative days, and as such ‘yesterdays’ samples are always available.
What does the Aquacell analyse?
The Aquacell doesn’t’ analyse anything it simply (and rather elegantly!) obtains and stores a sample of the wastewater. Usually the collected samples are then taken by the operator or trade effluent inspector to a laboratory for analysis.
