Aquamatic Awarded ISO14001
This September, Aquamatic Limited, a leading manufacturer of automatic wastewater samplers based in Manchester, was awarded the coveted ISO14001 Certification for its Environmental Management System, by Sira Test & Certification
Jeremy Smith, Aquamatic Managing Director, commented ‘The fundamental purpose of our company and its products is to help industrials and / or municipal organisations to monitor and improve the environmental impact of their wastewater discharges. In the same way Aquamatic itself has always taken its own environmental impact very seriously and gaining compliance with this International Standard was a natural evolution of the various recycling and reusing activities that we already employ’
He added, ‘This latest award has come to us at an exciting time, with our brand new production facility now in full operation and product and service demand increasing yearly, we feel this Environmental award further provides confidence to our customers, both domestic and international, that in addition to us being a progressive, high quality manufacturer of sampling equipment we are also a conscientious and diligent operation with a careful eye on our impact on the environment. This certification further enhances the portfolio of British and International Standards now being held by this UK based manufacturer. These include ISO9001 and MCERTS, both of which are also certified and monitored by Chester based Sira Test & Certification. Sira Lead Auditor Tim Hack commented ‘Sira and Aquamatic have a long history together which covers their compliance and certification in relation to various standards. Aquamatic were in fact the very first company to achieve the now mandatory MCERTS standard for this type of equipment.
